What a great day at the M.D. Plumbing Crawfish Boil! We had an amazing time with our employees, friends and families enjoying great food and even better company. It was wonderful to spend time together outside of work and celebrate the people who make our team so great. Thanks to everyone who came out!

We are starting to get alot of calls for tankless heaters outside that are getting misfire codes. It seems like the ice is starting to cover the linear vents at the top of the unit. If you are experiencing this, try to heat the linear vents with a hairdryer to thaw out the ice. Once it’s thawed, turn the unit off and restart it. It should go through the start up cycle and refire. Once it refires take an Amazon box and cut out the front of the box. Place the box over the top of the unit with the open part facing out with plenty of room between the top of the box and the exhaust vent. Hopefully this will keep the next cycle of freezing rain from freezing the exhaust. If yours isn’t experiencing this yet, you may want to install the box before the next wave. Don’t forget to remove the box tomorrow. If you cant get yours to refire, keep running water in a tub with the hot side. You need to keep water moving through the unit so it doesn’t freeze. I would keep water trickling in any house for the week while temps are so low. We will get the trucks on the road as soon as it’s safe. UPDATE. It appears that the condensation drain under the units are freezing. It’s the half inch pipe coming out of the bottom of the unit. This can be thawed and reinstalled.
