I don't think most people realize how quickly a beautiful yard can turn into an absolute nightmare when it rains.

We see it all the time. Someone spends thousands of dollars on gorgeous stone patios and lush plants, only for the first heavy storm to wash half of it away or pool water right against their foundation.

It is so easy to get caught up in the fun part of landscaping, like picking out the stone and the plants. But the real work is the boring stuff nobody sees. It is the grading, the dirt work, and the drainage. If that part is messed up, nothing else matters.

I have been doing this around Concord for over twenty years now, and the hardest conversations I have are always with homeowners who have to pay twice to fix a yard that was not prepped right the first time.
