Today's task consisted of dividing dahlia tubers, yielding a surprising number of tubers from the single one planted last May. Interestingly, some tubers had developed sprouts, simplifying the division process. When dividing tubers, we seek three crucial elements to ensure a new plant will bloom: a body, a neck, and an eye. While tubers come in diverse shapes and sizes, the presence of these three features guarantees beautiful blooms.

Lovely Indiana weather today!! Got out and enjoyed the sunshine and planted anemones and ranunculus!! Ready for spring!!

Started working on the ranunculus and anemone bed this morning!!! As I was finishing up it began to snow!!! Going to get them planted this weekend!! These cool season flowers love the colder weather!!
