🏠 BEHIND THE BUSINESS | WHO WE ARE & WHAT WE DO

We are often asked what exactly Bama Lifestyle Services does. In short, we are a local, family-owned business that specializes in helping seniors, families, and busy professionals across Huntsville and North Alabama take care of the small handyman tasks, cleaning needs, and errands that are easy to put off but still need to get done.

Our business model is designed specifically for the smaller projects and to-do list items that larger contractors, traditional handyman businesses, and cleaning companies may not be structured to handle.

We offer Handyman Services, Senior Support Services, Cleaning Services, and Concierge Services, allowing us to take care of multiple needs during a single visit. You can combine any of these services within the same time block and prioritize the tasks that matter most to you.

Our unique approach helps reduce the need for multiple service calls, minimum charges, separate appointments, and the scheduling challenges that can come with hiring several specialized companies.

Today’s clients were a senior couple who wanted to have some specific cleaning completed ahead of the upcoming holiday season. Neither of them is able to safely climb ladders, and due to some physical limitations, they are no longer able to clean their carpeting the way they once could.
We were able to take care of the cleaning tasks they needed and now, they are ready to welcome their family and enjoy the holidays without having to worry about those tasks still waiting to be done!

Today’s client booked us for some autumn cleaning and a little household preparation ahead of the upcoming holiday season.

Our client originally wanted to focus specifically on having her windows cleaned, both inside and outside. Once we started, it was clear the screens, frames, sills, tracks, and surrounding trim on the interior could use some attention as well. After consulting with her, we took care of those areas too.

The results made a big difference, and our client was so pleased with how everything turned out that she booked us again. Today’s clients were a middle-aged couple caring for their elderly mother, who lives with them. With the demands of caregiving taking up much of their time, they had fallen behind on some of the detailed cleaning they had been wanting to get done. They booked a 3.5-hour time block to tackle some of those tasks and begin getting their home ready for the upcoming holiday season.

✨ Cleaning Service
o Cleaned all windows in & out
o Cleaned window tracks, frames, & screens
o Detail cleaned Living Room from skylights to carpet
o Detail cleaned Foyer from crown molding to floor

We focused on two of the most visible rooms in their home: the foyer and living room. Their goal was to get a jump on their holiday preparations by starting with the areas their guests will see first. And when we say detail cleaning, we mean detail cleaning.

We addressed the crown molding, trim, baseboards, skylights, window treatments, ceiling fan, light fixtures, fireplace, furniture, mirrors, television, windows, carpeting, hardwood floors, and numerous other smaller details throughout both rooms.

They wanted to see the results we could produce before deciding whether to have us continue throughout the rest of their home on a different visit. By the time we finished, the windows were clear, the rooms looked and smelled fresh, and these two important areas of their home were ready to welcome family and friends. We take pride in treating your home like it is our own. 💛

Today’s clients were a retired couple who booked a 2-hour time block to take care of several household safety needs.

🛠️ Handyman Service
o Replaced broken smoke/CO combo detector
o Replaced burned-out light bulbs in multiple ceiling light fixtures
🤝 Senior Support Service
o Installed a long horizontal grab bar by toilet
o Installed a short vertical grab bar by shower

Our clients had been feeling a little less steady when using their bathroom and wanted to make the space safer and give themselves a little more confidence when moving around. We installed a long horizontal grab bar beside the toilet and a shorter vertical grab bar near the shower. They did not feel the need for grab bars inside the shower at this time, but they know they can call us again if their needs change.

They have also other areas of their house that needed some attention, but they prefer to avoid climbing ladders. We were more than happy to help them out, so we replaced several burned-out light bulbs in ceiling fixtures, helping make their rooms brighter and easier to navigate. While addressing the lighting, we also discovered that one of their smoke/CO combination detectors was not functioning properly. We replaced it with a new one so they could have one more important safety concern checked off their list.

When we finished, we had accomplished everything they originally wanted done and even discovered another safety issue that we were able to address while we were there. That is one of the advantages of a Bama Lifestyle Services time block. You can start with a list of things you need done, and if time remains, we can use that time to address other tasks that may come up along the way.

Today’s client was a single mother with two young children who booked a 2-hour time block to take care of several home safety and household tasks.

🛠️ Handyman Service
o Replaced doorknob on front entry door to house
o Assisted in rearranging some furniture for better home navigation
o Replaced some burned-out lightbulbs
o Replaced batteries in all smoke detectors

Our client purchased her home earlier this summer and was still in the process of unpacking and getting everything organized. There were several things on her list that needed to be addressed sooner rather than later, so she reached out to us for some help.

We started by replacing the broken doorknob on her front entry door so it would latch and lock properly again. We then helped rearrange some of the furniture to create wider walking paths and more open play areas for her children.

With time still remaining in her reserved time block, we were able to take care of a few additional safety items. We replaced burned-out lightbulbs in several ceiling fans and light fixtures, then tested and replaced the batteries in all of the smoke detectors throughout the house.

When we finished, we had accomplished much more than simply checking a few items off a list. Her home was safer, more organized, and more functional, and it was beginning to feel a little more like home.
