🚨 Emergency Call Saved This Homeowner Thousands! 🚨
We received a call from a homeowner whose house was extremely hot and had been told that the outdoor unit's compressor had failed and needed to be replaced.
Before recommending a costly repair or replacement, we performed a complete diagnostic of the HVAC system. After testing the compressor, fan motor, and electrical components, we found that everything was actually operating properly.
Digging deeper, we traced the issue to a bypassed electrical disconnect that had caused a high-voltage short. Once the damaged components were replaced and the wiring was repaired correctly, the system fired right up and began cooling again.
✅ Compressor was good
✅ Outdoor unit was good
✅ Electrical issue repaired
✅ Customer saved thousands on an unnecessary replacement
This is why proper diagnostics matter. Sometimes the most expensive diagnosis isn't the correct one.
If your HVAC system isn't working, make sure it's thoroughly tested before replacing major components. At EGS Heating & Air, we believe in finding the actual problem and providing honest solutions.
