❄️ Homeowners, beware of ICE DAMS this winter! ❄️

That beautiful blanket of snow on your roof might be hiding a sneaky problem. Ice dams form when heat from your attic melts snow → water runs down → refreezes at the colder eaves → creating a dam that traps water → and that water can seep under shingles and into your home. 😩 Leaky ceilings, damaged insulation, and mold are NOT the holiday gifts you want!
Signs you might have ice damming:

• Large icicles hanging from gutters
• Ice buildup along the edge of your roof
• Water stains on interior ceilings or walls

How to prevent it: ✅ Keep your attic well-insulated and properly ventilated

✅ Seal air leaks from your living space into the attic

✅ Remove snow from roof with a roof rake (carefully!)

✅ Keep gutters clean and free-flowing

✅ Consider heat cables along the roof edge in problem areas
