🚨 What is the Spotted Lanternfly?
The spotted lanternfly is an invasive insect that feeds on the sap of trees and plants, which can weaken them and cause stress over time. They also leave behind a sticky substance called honeydew that can attract other pests and lead to sooty mold growth on plants and outdoor surfaces.
The Ohio Department of Agriculture is no longer encouraging residents to report spotted lanternfly sightings. Instead, homeowners are encouraged to kill spotted lanternflies when found and destroy any egg masses to help slow their spread.
At Oasis Turf & Tree, our licensed and certified professionals keep a close eye on your landscape for invasive pests like the spotted lanternfly, helping protect the health of your trees and plants throughout Ohio and Kentucky.
