About me — the designer, the general contractor, the mom, and the human behind Tapestry Homes.

I’m Emily — the one juggling project schedules, design plans, toddler snacks, and job site walkthroughs… sometimes all in the same day.
I’m a designer + general contractor who believes homes should be both beautiful and functional, and that renovation doesn’t have to feel overwhelming.

During the week I’m usually coordinating subcontractors, planning timelines, navigating nap times, troubleshooting, sourcing materials, prepping snacks and making sure your project keeps moving — so you can focus on your life, your work, and your family.

And behind the scenes?
It’s me and my little shadow, Livi — the unofficial site supervisor and snack distributor — running Tapestry Homes together.

My husband, Jeffrey, is the skilled hands and heart behind Tried & True Carpentry He’s the reason the trim, custom woodwork, and cabinetry on our projects turn out so beautifully. He works with other designers and GCs as well, while Livi and I manage the projects for Tapestry Homes.

We’re a family-run team — each with our own roles — coming together to create homes that feel thoughtful, intentional, and lived-in.
