This incredible home in Anchorage still had its two original lumber decks that were over 25 years old, both of them totaling up to roughly 1500 square feet (absolutely massive). Don’t get me started on the permitting process for this one 🙃

We demolished and rebuilt using Trex Transcend decking, railing, and fascia. Lots of neat angles in the walls allowed for unique trim work that complimented the surrounding architecture. In most cases we would wrap the posts as well, but the owner opted out in effort to reduce trapped moisture.

Rainy Monday, but finishing up a project makes any day better! Demolished their 20x8 wood deck and expanded it to 20x16 with Trex decking and railings, also installed Trex RainEscape ceiling system to waterproof the patio below and added recessed lighting/ceiling fan, where the client will eventually place a hot hot tub. Also enclosed the other section of their covered wood deck with screening+screen door.

The awnings and umbrellas were replaced with an 80’x12’ pergola, stained black and topped with corrugated polycarbonate roofing, finished with string lighting underneath. Mounted TVs and landscaping/planters are in the works to complete the space
