Responded to a homeowners broken spring in Raleigh, NC.

The homeowner had 2 single car garage doors. They were installed in 2013. Homeowner mentioned the doors had not been serviced in years.

We replaced the broken spring and had their door back operational in no time!

We serviced both doors and also replaced their plastic rollers on both doors with our nylon coated rollers.

Replaced a homeowners garage door motor in Lake Royale, NC

Upon arriving we noticed both sensor lights were out.

The homeowner mentioned a heavy storm a few days prior.

After verifying the wiring and power to the motor, it was determined the opener had a bad circuit board. Which was believed to be caused by a power surge.

Converted a Wayne Dalton Spring system over to the updated Torsion spring system for a homeowner in Rolesville, NC.

I know what you're thinking. WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?!?

The homeowner reached out and stated the garage door would go up about a foot and then stop. Upon evaluation it was determined the garage door had a broken spring.

●When a spring breaks in the Wayne Dalton torquemaster assembly, the springs are concealed inside of the shaft/tube.

● This Wayne Dalton assembly requires specific parts supplied directly from Wayne Dalton and can take days if not up to a month-2 to get hardware/material. Nobody wants there garage door inoperable for that long!

●Torsion springs are made from thicker/higher grade steel which typically last 10-15,000 cycles whereas the Wayne Dalton assembly operates with much thinner gauge springs. In return, break quicker over a period of time.

● This is why we ideally transition the system over to a Torsion Spring assembly.

●LAST BUT NOT LEAST! When a spring and/or hardware breaks on the Torsion spring assembly, you then have the option to repair just the spring and/or hardware versus replacing the entire system.

We responded this morning to a Post Office door in Carrboro, NC.

The door was stuck about halfway.

Reset the motor limits, made a few adjustments and verified there was nothing causing the door to bind up.

In and out before they opened up this morning!

A homeowner in Hope Mills, NC reached out and mentioned their garage door would go up about a foot and then stop.

They sent over pictures and we immediately noticed they had a broken spring.

Your garage door springs are rated on cycles. Up and down is considered one cycle. The standard residential spring is rated for around 10,000 cycles.

When one spring breaks, typically the other is not far behind.

We replaced both springs, replaced all the rollers, and serviced the door.

We advise getting your door serviced twice a year. Your garage door is metal against metal. Lubricating and making sure your door is properly balanced is important for smooth operation and can prevent future costly repairs.
