We're excited to announce that Jimmy Jam DrumX has been nominated for the 2027 NAMM TEC Award for Best Musical Instrument Software. This is our 10th NAMM TEC Award nomination, following three previous wins for Hollywood Choirs, Hollywood Orchestra Opus Edition, and Hollywood Fantasy Orchestra.

Created with legendary hitmaker Jimmy Jam, DrumX puts 10 iconic drum machines into one powerful groove machine, along with exclusive Jimmy Jam samples and grooves.

Sound on Sound called it, "A huge selection of high-quality classic drum machine sounds for a fraction of the price of the vintage hardware." And said, "It's a perfect pairing with ICONIC."

To celebrate the nomination, DrumX is on sale for the first time ever. Get DrumX for just $149, or bundle DrumX and ICONIC for only $199.

NAMM TEC Award voting begins this December.

In 1977, Los Angeles band Player entered what is now known as EastWest Studios to record their self-titled debut album, including the song that would become their signature hit.

🎶 Before “Baby Come Back” became a No. 1 hit, it was just a song ready to be brought to life in a legendary Hollywood studio.

Written by Peter Beckett and J.C. Crowley and produced by Dennis Lambert and Brian Potter, “Baby Come Back” captured the sound of an era, eventually reaching No. 1 on the U.S. charts and becoming one of the defining soft-rock hits of the 1970s.

Nearly five decades later, the room where those recordings were made is still operating and still making music history.

Some songs become classics.
Some studios become legends.
And some stories connect the two. 🎙️✨
