When the Fire Is Out, Rebuilding Begins
For communities affected by fire, the hardest chapter doesn’t always end when the flames are gone.
As Spokane-area communities begin recovering from this year’s devastating fires, homeowners are facing the long road ahead: cleanup, insurance, permits, design, and ultimately rebuilding what was lost.
Here in Southern California, we know that process firsthand. After the 2025 Los Angeles-area fires, Silver Moccasin Builders worked with homeowners in Pasadena, Altadena, and surrounding communities to navigate the complex process of rebuilding—from site assessments and insurance coordination to plans, permits, and construction.
One thing we’ve learned is that rebuilding starts long before the first foundation is poured.
As Spokane moves into recovery, we’re sharing some of what we’ve learned to help homeowners understand what comes next and prepare for the road to rebuilding.
