In winter, old hollow trees become life-saving shelters. They trap warmth, block wind, and give animals a place to survive the cold months. 🦉🦝🐿️🐭
When dead trees are removed “for cleanliness,” entire ecosystems lose their homes.

What you can do:
• Leave standing dead trees (snags) when they’re not a safety risk. 🌲
• If removal is necessary, keep part of the trunk on the ground as habitat. 🪵
• Support natural areas that allow dead wood to remain. 🌿
• Teach kids that dead trees = wildlife homes, not trash. 📚

Sometimes the best help is simply leaving nature alone. 🤎

They don’t need our cities, our comfort, or our noise.
They need space. Silence. Safety.

A few things we can do better:
• Protect forests and natural habitats whenever possible 🌳
• Drive slower in wildlife areas, especially at dawn and dusk 🚗🦌
• Support conservation efforts and local wildlife rescues 🤍
• Leave no trash, human waste harms animals more than we think 🚯
• Teach kids (and adults) respect for animals, not fear 🐾

Coexistence isn’t complicated.
Give them room. Let them live in peace. 🐻🦊

We celebrate for a few minutes… but wildlife pays the price for hours. 💥❄️🐦
Beautiful skies shouldn’t come at the cost of dead birds.
Let’s celebrate smarter. 💔

🦌 Slow Down It’s Deer Season.

It’s that time of year again when deer cross roads more often, chasing instincts older than our highways.

Every fall, over 1 million deer-vehicle collisions happen in the U.S. alone. Most occur at night, when headlights blind them mid-step. They don’t understand cars. They only follow nature.

That flash in your headlights isn’t just a shadow it’s a life.
A heartbeat away from tragedy.

💔 Please, slow down especially at dusk and dawn.
Your brake could save a life tonight.

Most people don’t realize this… winter kills by thirst more than hunger. ❄️🧐

When everything freezes, small animals struggle to find even a sip of water. It’s a silent problem we rarely think about, but it’s one of the biggest threats they face in the cold months.

Here’s how you can help:
• Put out a bowl of fresh water in the morning. 🥣💧
• Add warm (not hot) water to melt the ice when needed. 🌡️
• Place the bowl in a sunny spot so it lasts a bit longer. ☀️
• If you can, use a heated pet bowl it saves countless lives. 🐿️❤️

A little water can mean survival for wildlife in winter.

Wolves aren’t “monsters in the dark” they’re survivors pushed to the edges. 🐺❄️

When people take more land, wildlife gets squeezed into smaller and smaller spaces. Wolves end up closer to towns not because they’re dangerous or fearless, but because hunger and shrinking habitat leave them no choice.

A few things everyone should know:
• Wolves avoid humans whenever they can conflict happens when we remove their space. 🌲
• Securing trash and livestock feed dramatically reduces encounters. 🚫🗑️
• Healthy ecosystems need apex predators like wolves to stay balanced. ⚖️
• Coexistence works when communities stay informed and prepared, not afraid. 🏘️💡

Respect the wild. Give them space. We can coexist but only if we try.

When forests get cleared for lawns, decks, and new houses, mothers like this have nowhere left to raise their babies. They’re not looking for trouble they’re just trying to survive the world we redesigned around them.

Here’s how you can help:
• Before sealing decks or sheds, check for wildlife dens. 🏡🔍
• Let fox families stay until the kits are old enough to move on (usually a few weeks).
• Create small wild zones in your yard brush piles, shrubs, native plants. 🌿
• Reduce lawn space; increase habitat space. Every patch matters. 🌱

Coexisting isn’t hard it just takes awareness and a little compassion. ❤️

Most people fear opossums… but they’re one of the most misunderstood animals out there. 🌙🦡

They live incredibly short, harsh lives usually only 1–2 years and spend those nights quietly protecting our yards by eating ticks, pests, and even venomous snakes.
They’re not aggressive, not dangerous, and almost never carry rabies. They’re gentle cleaners of the night.

Here’s what to do if you see one:
• Give it space and let it pass. 🚶‍♂️
• Never chase or scare it , it’s already stressed. 😔
• Leave out fresh water during heatwaves. 💧
• Keep pets inside at night to avoid scaring wildlife. 🐾

Opossums aren’t threats they’re helpers. Show kindness when you spot one. 💛

Rabbits don’t need bread, chips, or handouts. Those actually harm them. What does help is letting your yard stay a little wild:
• Keep a small brush pile for shelter 🌿
• Leave some leaf litter on the ground 🍂
• Plant native shrubs for natural cover 🌱
• Drive slowly at dawn and dusk when they’re most active 🚗💡

A “messy” yard to us is a safe home to them. Let nature be nature. 🌾

If you think “perfect lawns” are harmless… think again. 🐦🚫🌱

Artificial turf might look clean and easy to maintain, but for birds and soil life, it’s a dead zone. No insects. No worms. No real ground. Just plastic and a whole ecosystem erased beneath it.

Here’s what you can do instead:
• Choose native ground cover or drought-tolerant plants. 🌿
• Leave small patches of real soil exposed for birds to forage. 🪱
• Avoid replacing healthy lawns with synthetic turf it overheats, kills soil, and doesn’t support wildlife. ☀️
• If you want low-maintenance, go for clover, creeping thyme, or native mixes. 🌼

A green yard shouldn’t mean a lifeless one.

When forests shrink, wildlife gets pushed right into our streets, yards, and trash cans. They’re not looking for trouble they’re looking for the meals their habitat used to provide.

How to reduce conflict and keep everyone safe:
• Secure your trash cans with wildlife-proof lids. 🗑️🔒
• Keep pet food indoors and clean up outdoor leftovers. 🍗🚫
• Install motion lights or alarms to gently deter nighttime visits. 💡
• Support local conservation efforts that protect natural habitats. 🌲🙏

Coexist with respect. They lost their home the least we can do is keep ours safe and share it responsibly.

In winter, birds can still find bits of food but water is the real struggle. When everything turns to solid ice, dehydration hits them fast, sometimes faster than starvation.

A few simple ways to help:
• Break and replace the ice in your bird bath daily. 🧊➡️💧
• Add warm water a couple of times a day during severe cold. 🔥💦
• Use a heated bird bath or a safe outdoor heater.
• Keep the bath clean to prevent disease. 🫧

A little water can save a life this winter. 💙
