How do I cut through this shower caddy? trying to get rid of this shower caddy but it won’t leave me alone. the shower head is too big so i can’t slide it off and I'm not sure if I'm incorrectly using the wire cutters & pliers but its not working. i even attempted to warm up the area i wanted to cut. plz help

What do people usually fill this door frame floor gap with? Our contractor installed new flooring and it appears to now be lower than the existing door frames. I don't love the look of it but he said it's normal.
