The last few days Arbormax Tree Care LLC has been down in Rhode Island for the New England ISA annual conference. We strive to give our clients the best practices, this involves continuing education to stay up to date with arboriculture industry. At this conference we learned about wind loads, thinning and weight reductions, rigging forces and proper pruning techniques! This weekend we also engaged on our safety practices recertifying our CPR training and first aid! Our favorite part of this industry is there is always more to learn and grow in this community.

Often we are requested to take the top out of trees. All professional tree services should immediately explain why that cannot and should not be done!

Here is a great example of what happens after a tree is topped. New growth grew around the prior top and grew three new tops. As for the old top, it rotted out and created a large cavity of decay where the new tops are growing.

Say NO to tree toping!

A well run event for a great cause! We look forward to donating our services every year!

We’re just 2 weeks away from the big day!

On September 16th, volunteers all across the country will come together at veteran-dedicated properties — including national cemeteries and Veterans Affairs (VA) hospitals, medical centers, clinics, and nursing homes — to honor our nation’s veterans by donating tree and landscape care services.

Over the years, those services have steadily expanded, which means you don’t have to be an arborist to volunteer. Mulching, planting trees, headstone cleaning and restoration, implementing plant health care initiatives — these are just a few of the ways you can help, even if you’re not a tree care professional.

So whether you have specialized arboricultural experience or simply a strong desire to contribute, we hope you’ll join us for this year’s Day of Service. Find a site near you and register today ➡️ salutingbranches.org/volunteer

From the boat this weekend, right back to storm work! Homeowner called late Sunday, with some maneuvering of the schedule we squeezed this removal in today!

Another property saved in town!

Have your trees inspected by a certified arborist and this could have been prevented!
