Finally put the roof on the chicken run. The only wood I didn’t cut for this project was the 4x4 base and the roof rafters. If you look closely you can see why I hate having to buy lumber…but the chickens don’t care, they almost have more square footage on this property than I do!

Per usual, I forgot to post this beauty from the other day. Walnut, cherry, and ambrosia maple make up this custom flag.

Another day another log with my little man! Before we started we did some maintenance and this thing is cutting pure now! Hopefully only one or two logs to go before we can move on to building the chicken run.

I’ve been wanting to try to make new things in the shop so I made this set of spatulas to go with this wavy cutting board. Replacing plastic utensils in the kitchen while using up wood in my scrap pile sounds like a win win to me!

One of my favorite pieces I’ve ever made! We originally wanted to repurpose an older antique mantle but couldn’t find anything that fit this space, so I decided to build one. I had no build plans but found elements that I liked from pictures of other mantles and started cutting through my stash of walnut until I came up with this.
