They created their company with a mission to help mothers and fathers feed their families healthy meals that their children will not only eat, but enjoy. Danielle and Lindsay approached this task from a very personal perspective – they used their six siblings as their recipe critics and decided that each recipe would have to pass the “sibling test.” Another important concept implemented in the book was their desire to make this recipe book “user friendly.” The two sisters wanted to prove to families everywhere that it IS possible to create deliciously nutritious meals without making multiple trips to the, oftentimes overpriced, health food store. Danielle and Lindsay acknowledge that each family is uniquely on their own journey toward a healthier lifestyle and meeting these families where they are is crucial to their success. Because of this truth, their recipe book is full of options that allow moms and dads to tailor make these recipes specifically for their family. The unique mission and goals that the two sisters began their company with made their recipe book an instant success. In August of 2000 From the Kitchen of Two Sister’s was reprinted and in September of 2003, Danielle and Lindsay revised and updated the recipe book, adding over twenty new recipes before once again reprinting. To date, From the Kitchen of Two Sister’s has sold over 10,000 copies worldwide. The two sisters are excited to announce that they are in the process of producing Volume II, From the Kitchen of Two Sisters which will be a complete revitalization of Volume I. Volume II will include many of the favorites from Volume I, as well as over 30 brand new creations. Look for Volume II, From the Kitchen of Two Sister’s in the Spring of 2012!
