As we begin approaching the end of the growing season, it is
especially important for your lawn to enter winter as healthy
and strong as possible. Continue proper watering and watch
for signs of drought stress, insect activity, or fungus.
Addressing these issues now helps reduce unnecessary
stress on the turf before dormancy.
For the last few mowings of the season, leave the grass just
a little taller than your normal summer mowing height. This is
NOT the time to scalp your lawn. Maintaining a little extra
leaf tissue helps the turf remain stronger as it prepares for
winter.
