Another deck brought back from the dead

The old one had character… unfortunately, most of that character was rot, a sagging deck, and a few boards that were one family cookout away from becoming a lawsuit.

If we think your deck frame is solid and you’ll get another 10+ years out of we, we suggest just redecking saving time and sometimes a significant amount of money.

Sometimes a simple repair can turn into a full rebuild. We were called to replace some decking and fix the stair rails. After pulling some off we agreed that it was best in the long run to do a full rebuild.

This one got full length boards, 6x6 posts as always with some post caps and some metal railing that will last a lifetime.

Not every deck needs to be rebuilt. They got a new deck with the same frame! We raised the entire lower frame and brought it to the same height and finished it off with a border, some black metal balusters and a 16’ privacy wall.
