Today, we heard back from our first film festival. We are happy to announce that we have our first award! Congrats to Brian Cassin for winning Best Film Editing!

As the philosopher, Zygmunt Bauman said, ‘The only truth, the only permanence in the world is change.’ Every process or structure we create is temporary, evolving and refining infinitely over time. So, Liquid City refers to the liquidity and ever-changing process and properties of architecture, construction and the built environment. The changing weather patterns - including sun, rain and snow - also reflects the liquidity of the environmental life-cycle and the changing seasons impact how we interact with the structures around us. But, it is also a celebration of the liquidity of new ideas and approaches to architecture, construction and filmmaking, as well as the maddening challenges, shifting trends and requirements, and inspiring opportunities that drive us to create.

Our goal was to create an Art film worth of festival consideration that was contemplative, meditative and disruptive to the whole idea of what an Architecture film should be.
