After a breakdown cut us short last weekend, we made it back out and got the job finished.

We widened an existing trail for better deer blind access, opened up the field edge, and cleared behind the farmer’s barn so he could grub it out. Larger material went into the burn pile while we mulched the area enough to give him the access he needed.

Not every job needs to look like a lawn — sometimes the goal is simply getting ground opened up and usable again. 💪

Today’s hidden treasures included a HUGE ground nest 🐝 and a spool of old barbed wire buried in the brush. Thank goodness I was running the disc and not the drum — that barbed wire would’ve wrapped itself around a drum tighter than s**t. 😂

Breakdowns, bees, and barbed wire — but another one DONE. ✅

Running equipment is a lot like life — breakdowns happen and things don’t always go as planned.

Huge thank you to Capital Equipment in Clare for the fast and reasonably priced service getting the SCL back up and running. Always a pleasure dealing with you guys, whether it’s equipment purchases, parts, or now service.

Small Businesses Supporting Small Businesses 🤝

Cleared out the underbrush and small trees in front of Maple Tree Service, while leaving the mature trees in place. We knocked down the heavier material with the disc mulcher, then followed up with the drum for a clean finished look—giving them the visibility and open space needed for their new sign installation.

Always glad to help another local small business improve their property and stand out from the road!

Big Beech Leader Down at the Deer Blind 🦌

A huge leader broke out of this beech tree and came down all around the deer blind. Luckily, the blind escaped without getting smashed!

We cut everything free, mulched all the brush, and left the usable wood cut up for the property owner.

I always enjoy working on hunting properties. Helping fellow deer hunters improve and maintain their ground is where my passion really is—because when I’m not working in the woods, there’s a damn good chance I’m hunting in them.

Cleared and forestry mulched the overgrown understory while intentionally leaving roughly a 10-foot natural buffer along the fence line to maintain some extra privacy for the property owner.

We also took an extra swipe along the wooden fence line, cleaning back the encroaching brush and opening things up around the fence.

Finished the mulched area with a cut-stubble treatment to help control unwanted woody regrowth and keep the property cleaned up longer.

Another one cleaned up and looking sharp! 🤘🏼🌲

Playhouse Gone. Customer Happy. 💪

Got this old playhouse tore down, loaded up, and hauled away. Sometimes the jobs aren’t glamorous—they just need to get done right.

If you’ve got an old shed, playset, or other structure that’s seen better days, give me a shout. We’ll get it gone so you can get your space back.

Another one knocked out. 💪🌳

Customer had a large oak come down from the storms and needed it cleaned up for insurance. Between staying busy and getting after it, I forgot to grab the after pictures.

Sometimes that’s just how it goes this time of year. Get in, get it cleaned up, and move on to the next job.
