Plant of the Week: Panicled Aster (Symphyotrichum lanceolatum) 🤍

With clusters of small, white daisy-like flowers and narrow leaves lining its tall stems, panicled aster adds a burst of brightness to streambanks, wet meadows, woodland edges, and other moist, open spaces. Native across much of North America, this perennial wildflower blooms into late summer and fall, providing color as many other plants begin winding down for the season.

💡 Fun fact: The yellow centers of panicled aster flowers can gradually turn reddish or purple as the blooms mature. Those clusters of flowers also provide a valuable late-season stop for a variety of pollinating insects. 🦋
