As summer comes to a close, we’re grateful for the time and hard work our interns brought to Schwisow Construction!

Claire, Isaac, and Ricardo spent the summer getting a true look at the construction industry, working both in the office and out on jobsites while gaining experience across different areas of our business. Along the way, they completed OSHA 30 training, volunteered with the Food Bank of Lincoln, and wrapped up their internships with presentations highlighting a special project and what they learned throughout the summer.

We’re excited to have Claire continue her journey with Schwisow Construction, and we wish Isaac and Ricardo the best as they head back to UNL this fall. Thank you all for jumping in, asking questions, and being such a great part of our team this summer. We can’t wait to see what’s next for each of you! 👏🏼

Take a look at the newly remodeled Neenah Foundry! ✨

Our crew completed a full roof and wall panel replacement on the 70' Sand Tower building. Plus, a wall system upgrade on the adjacent Shoulder Building, adding high-R insulation for energy efficiency, a new roof tie-off system for fall protection, and a fresh look to match.

Big thanks to our field crew for tackling a challenging environment head-on, and to Eric Philippi for the attention to detail he brought to every step.

Investing in the next generation of construction professionals.

This summer, we're proud to welcome Claire McAllister, Ricardo Vicente-Vasquez, and Isaac Pullen to the Schwisow Construction team as interns!

Representing Interior Design, Architecture, and Construction Management programs at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, each intern brings a unique perspective and a strong desire to learn. Throughout the summer, they'll gain hands-on experience, visit active job sites, and work alongside our team to learn what it takes to bring projects from concept to completion.

We're excited to be a part of their professional journey and look forward to seeing all they accomplish during their time at Schwisow Construction!
