These 2 graphs represent average soil moisture and soil temperatures for 2026. With the exception of May, June, and July its has been an overwhelmingly dry and hot year. Grasses are struggling right now but still hopeful that our farmers produce well! All of our decisions made at Zeal Turf are backed by science.

Congratulations on the Costa glasses Evan Ozier!

Normally by this time we are applying fall pre-emergent but its been so hot and dry we are delaying it. As you can see our current soil temps are well above the 5 and 10 year average!

This baseball field has been completely transformed! Started off patchy and full of w**ds, but is now thick and healthy! Feels good to turn this around! Hope these kids feel like they are playing at an MLB field!

It may take some time, but transformation is inevitable! Trust the process!

Dallisgrass is extremely tough to eliminate! While we can suppress dallisgrass in the summer, best control options are in the fall. These images show, dallisgrass spot sprayed 28 days ago compared to unsprayed. I have full confidence that the sprayed, unfortunately, is going to heal to 100%. Fall is the best time to apply a herbicide to this w**d, because we can severely deplete carbohydrates before dormancy!
