Due to high flood waters, many houses have been damaged, and needing clean up. Below are some of our best tips in order to preserve your home.

Steps below are to help preserve your home and prevent further damage!
Step 1: If you have insurance, take photos of all damage from flood waters.
Step 2: If you have insulation in your crawlspace, remove it. If possible, set a fan in your crawlspace door to force air underneath the house.
Step 3: Remove all wet/damaged flooring, carpet, etc. If standing water was in your home, remove drywall where necessary.
Step 4: Use air movement within your home. With cool temperatures, use fans in order to dry out your home.
Step 5: Once all mud and debris is removed, use below solution to disinfect your home.

A good, cheap disinfectant for flood water is listed below:
1 cup of bleach
10 cups of water
When using this solution, open windows in order to well ventilate the area as the fumes can be very strong.
