Looks like somebody forgot to tell Texas it’s only July! Between the 100° heat, hauling loads of wood, and working around what could easily be rattlesnake real estate, yesterday was one for the books.

There’s something satisfying about hard work, though. One trailer load at a time, one shovel at a time, one project at a time. Not every day in construction is luxury remodels and beautiful finishes—sometimes it’s dirt, sweat, and keeping your head on a swivel.

Pro tip: if you’re moving old wood piles in this kind of weather 109 degree temps , don’t get complacent. Rattlesnakes love cool, shaded places. Gloves on, boots on, and never stick your hands where your eyes haven’t been first.

No bueno for the heat. No bueno for the snakes. But another day getting it done.

💧 Another successful plumbing upgrade in the books!

Today I replaced a home’s Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) here in Austin, Texas. The home’s water pressure was sitting around 75-80 PSI, which is higher than I like to see for long-term plumbing health.

After installing the new PRV and making the proper adjustments, I brought the pressure down to a comfortable 55-60 PSI. That means less stress on the home’s plumbing system, fixtures, water heater, shut-off valves, and appliances, while still maintaining excellent water pressure throughout the house.

The best part? This one was completed single-handedly, including digging through solid Austin rock. If you’ve ever dug a water line in Central Texas, you already know… it’s basically an excavation project disguised as plumbing. 😂

No shortcuts. No rushing. Just doing it the right way.

If you’re experiencing high water pressure, leaking faucets, running toilets, or premature plumbing failures, your PRV may need to be adjusted or replaced.

Swapped out an aging propane water heater for a brand-new 40-gallon propane unit and brought the entire setup up to current code for a clean, safe, long-lasting install.
