This new seawall transformed a swamp into an accessible backyard! When I started you would sink up to your belt in mud. Now it's a great place to relax and fish!! I can see a table and chairs by the water and a hammock between the trees. The homeowner was an absolute pleasure to work for.

This 6x24 landing is closer to the water so kayaks are a breeze to launch and load. It's also a great place for a visiting pontoon boat to tie up. The homeowners were super cool and a pleasure to work for.

This is an amazing course. You will gain more knowledge and experience in that week than you would get from a years worth of regular training. I am definitely going back for more in October. These guys are the best at what they do, and that's who I want to learn from.

The LEMA/Meridian Fire Dive Team will be conducting rescue and recovery drills from Ski Island at Dalewood on Friday, August 7th. We will be using side scan sonar, so don't be alarmed if you see a few emergency vessels on the water. There will also be several emergency vehicles parked at Ski Island. Everything is fine, we're just training. Please remember, if you see a dive flag flying, stay back 300' for diver safety.

Very successful day testing side-scan sonar and LiveScope. These tools should greatly reduce search time in zero visibility situations. Special thank you to Dalewood for allowing us to improve our skills to better serve our community and the surrounding area. The LEMA/Meridian Fire Dive Team remains committed to excellence, and will always be there to answer the call.

Don't be alarmed if you see emergency vehicles at the training site on Ski Island at Dalewood tomorrow.(Friday 07/31/26) We will be testing and tuning new sonar equipment.

Believe it or not, I still build stuff too!!! It's not as fun and exciting as diving and rescue work to share, but it pays the bills. I really enjoyed working on this boathouse. The cradle style lift has guides and allows the homeowner to load their pontoon boat easily, even in rougher water. It's tall enough that they don't have to raise and lower their canopy when they want to take an afternoon ride. It was an absolute pleasure working for them!!!
