😇 🕊️🙏🏼 Rest In Peace 😇🕊️🙏🏼
Yesterday was an incredible sad day for our family. We laid you to rest we all know your with your our grandparents and your older brother so it brings me a little solace.

We also added a cross filled with my mom’s ashes so she can be with you and her parents too.

Derek goodbyes are not forever and they are not the end. It simply means I’ll miss you until we meet again cuz.

Our family has suffered a tragic and devastating loss nothing prepares you for a loss of this in this manner.

Derek was the victim of a senseless murder / homicide in Goldfield NV by a deranged gun man.

😇Derek 🕊️ was a Father , a Son , a Brother , an Uncle and one of my Cousins.

He was also a hard working man who was a huge dog loving person.

He was was a great Tow-Truck Driver / Owner and he also worked with the Fire Department as a Volunteer in Goldfield Nv too. He was not perfect but he didn’t deserve to have his life taken this way. Leaving his family behind with all these nightmares and uncertainty is not how he would have expected it to go.

Seeing this type display of Love and Respect on the news for our beloved Derek was both a Beautiful and Sombering event.

You never expect this type of thing to be for a family member but I’m so proud of him and for the display from Tow Truck Community.

Derek Cornell was responding to a service call Thursday morning when he was shot and killed on the side of U.S. 95 about five miles south of Goldfield, Nevada.

Here’s some tips to keep your pup safe this tomorrow

🐾 Check your dogs ID tag and microchip information to make sure it is up to date.

🐾 Behave normally to show your dog there is nothing to worry about.

🐾 Check your home and yard to make sure everything is safe & secure.
Don’t force your dog to go outside.

🐾 Walk your dog before dusk.

🐾 Make a cozy space for your dog so they have somewhere to go if they do get too scared or anxious.

🐾 Close your blinds/curtains to block out flashes of light & muffle the noise.

🐾 Top off your dogs water bowl. When dogs are anxious, they tend to pant, which will make them extra thirsty.

🐾 Play white noise/calming music or turn up the Tv to one of your favorite shows or movies try and drown out the firework noise
