Today, we’re celebrating 17 years of NOVUS Architecture + Interiors!

In the words of our founder, Dwayne R. Eshenbaugh, AIA:

“From being laid off in 2009 and starting NOVUS the very next day, to being named AIA Nevada’s 2025 Firm of the Year, we’ve come a long way. We’ve built an incredible team, collaborated with so many talented people along the way, designed meaningful projects, served our community, and earned recognition for our work. I’m proud of how far we’ve come — and even more excited about where we’re going. We’re just getting started!”

Swipe through to explore NOVUS’s journey over the past 17 years. After beginning in a home office, we established our studio in the Las Vegas Arts District in 2011, first near Charleston Boulevard and Main Street, and now at Soho Lofts on Las Vegas Boulevard.

Over the years, we’ve watched this neighborhood evolve into a vibrant creative community, and we’re proud to have grown alongside it. As we look ahead, our commitment remains the same: to think boldly, design with purpose, strengthen our communities, and create enduring places that elevate the human experience.

NOVUS Architecture + Interiors is proud to congratulate Alex Sanchez Navarrete, the 2026 recipient of the Dwayne Eshenbaugh AIA Honorary Scholarship at the UNLV School of Architecture (presented by AIA Las Vegas President Troy Moser). Alex has served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves for more than six years and, shortly after being accepted into the school’s Upper Division, deployed to Guam as a Pavements and Heavy Equipment Operator, building aircraft parking pads, roads, and taxiways and earning the rank of Sergeant. That Air Force service is something Alex shares with our Founder + Principal, Dwayne Eshenbaugh, who also served. Alex’s studio work includes The SCAB, a community-driven redevelopment in Holbrook, Arizona, that turns a motel site on Bucket of Blood Street into lodging with a community kitchen, library, art space, and conservatory, and converts the historic Bucket of Blood Saloon into retail. Alex joins past recipients Diane Flores (2025), Denise Madera (2024), Hanna Jira Albuera (2023), Nathaneil Becenti (2022), and Michelle Dryer (2021). Congratulations, Alex!

NOVUS Architecture + Interiors is pleased to welcome Mariana Servin to our team as a Design Professional. A lifelong Las Vegan, Mariana earned both her Bachelor and Master of Architecture from UNLV, where her graduate studies concentrated on hospitality design. This past summer, she completed an architecture internship in Anchorage, Alaska, and she brings a designer’s eye and a strong sense of organization to her new role in our downtown studio. Outside of work, she paints, reads, keeps up with the latest true crime shows, and is always on the lookout for a new matcha or coffee shop to try. Please join us in welcoming Mariana to the NOVUS team!

NOVUS recently completed conceptual design of a 5-acre flex industrial campus in southwest Las Vegas. The project would deliver approximately 80,000 square feet of adaptable commercial space across five buildings, with 36 tenant units. Each unit includes a 20-foot mezzanine for second-floor office space, and select units feature front-facing overhead doors. Tilt-up concrete panels with a board-formed finish and full-height glass storefronts give the campus a contemporary feel while productively utilizing every square foot.

We're thrilled to celebrate the grand opening of STG Bar & Grill, our latest collaboration with ! This ~3,880 SF transformation brings a reimagined bar, all-new interior finishes, and a fresh energy to Sam's Town Hotel & Gambling Hall, Las Vegas. From concept to completion, our team poured passion into every detail of this space. Cheers to a job well done!

Phase 1 of Centurion is taking shape! NOVUS Architecture + Interiors Principal Dwayne R. Eshenbaugh and Job Captain Brianna McGillivray were on-site last week to check in on construction progress. The subterranean parking garage structure is coming together, with concrete retaining walls and columns coming out of the ground. It's exciting to see this 24-acre, walkable mixed-use destination in West Henderson advance from concept to reality. Thank you to our partners at SansoneCompanies, R&O Construction, PBR Consulting, and the for continuing to bring this vision to life.

ShareDOWNTOWN Westside is officially open! The NOVUS team was there yesterday to attend the ribbon cutting and celebrate this milestone. The project is Nevada's first five-story multifamily development built with prefabricated modular steel construction, offering 104 units, 84 of which are designated as affordable workforce housing, organized around a central courtyard. Congratulations to our team, Tim Larke and Ana Gonzales, and to the partners who made it happen, , , and . We’re proud of this one and excited to see our work transform the Historic Westside!
