Most people never see this side of their food’s journey. These birds spent 8 weeks on pasture, and last weekend was processing day.
It’s not glamorous, it’s not easy, and it’s definitely not everyone’s choice, but knowing exactly how our food was raised matters to us.
The reality of homesteading isn't just baby chicks and garden harvests; it’s the hard work behind a freezer full of meals and the responsibility of self-sufficiency.
