Let’s talk about you get what you pay for.

There’s a reason we’re willing to spend more for a great dinner.

It’s not just about the food. It’s the ambiance. The lighting. The service. The details. The feeling of being taken care of. The experience.

So why, when it comes to remodeling the place we call home, do we sometimes convince ourselves that the process should be as inexpensive and painless as possible—even if it means sacrificing the experience?

Because the truth is: you get what you pay for.

A well-designed, well-built home isn’t simply about the finished product. It’s about thoughtful design, quality craftsmanship, communication, attention to detail, problem-solving, and having a team you trust to guide you through the process.

You’re not just investing in cabinets, countertops, tile, or walls.

You’re investing in how you live—and how you feel while getting there.

Your home should be one of the most enjoyable investments you make. And the journey to creating it should feel just as considered as the finished space.

We believe luxury isn’t only found in the final reveal.

Low ceilings!!! Like very LOW! Possibly the lowest ceilings we’ve worked with so far. Oh, and not a lot of natural light coming into this room! So we kept it light and bright for this kitchen renovation!! What we did to brighten it up and help the space feel open:

- Light neutral 2 tone cabinet colors
- Subtle mixes of warm and cool tones
- Floating Shelves (creating open space that is still functional)
- Vertical Stacked Backsplash (helps create a sense of height in the space, bring the eye up)
- Simple white solid surface with subtle veining (nothing busy to distract the eye)
- Simple white walls (no need for a bold wall paint)
- Decorative Accents that are sleek with clean lines
- Modern appliances (function and design)
- Custom range hood with gold vertical batten moulding to again elevate the eye and create the illusion of height in the space

The thing about kitchens:
Not all are created equal. Don’t get us wrong. They are all equally important to the heart of the home. And should not be ignored. Nobody puts baby in the corner. However they do not come in the same shapes and sizes. Some are cozy and quaint. Some are loud and outrageously fabulous. Others get the job done and can still feel like the place you love being in! Certain costs remain the same for kitchens no matter the size and that’s just the way the kitchens crumble.

Things all kitchens must have big or small.

A functional professionally designed layout that is curated to YOUR needs and is a desirable aesthetic that calms you. There is a real psychological behind the way a room can alter your brain chemistry.

✏️📘Floorplan First!
- Blueprints always
- You need a plan! Do not wing it! Every inch matters!

🪠 Plumbing
- Rough in new locations
- Supply and install faucet, sink drain, dishwasher, water line for fridge, sometimes pot filler, or beverage faucet

💡Electrical
- Rough In new locations
- Move existing wiring during demo (safely) supply and install all new devices and covers (outlets & switches)
- Install lighting (maybe decorative pendants or sconces)

🪾Flooring
- Remove existing flooring
- Install new, this could be, tile, LVP, LVT, Hardwood (solid or engineered, even sanding and refinishing of existing)

🛘 Countertops
- Solid Surface
- Granite, Marble, Quartz, Quartzite, Butcherblock. The list goes on…

🗄️ Cabinets
- Obviously right?
- But consider function, layout, storage features. Pulls vs k***s. Color, door style, moulding. Two tone? Three tone?

🧱 Backsplash
- Same as solid surface or do we go tile?
- What colors? What material? What shape? Wait what pattern? And oh yeah grout color and thickness. Did you even think of that? It can change tile completely!

🧊Appliances
- Functional and reliable is key
- Should the Range Hood blend in or be a show stopper?
- Do we want standard stainless or decorative? Or maybe panel ready to blend with the cabinetry? This is a customizable option.

Just to name a few…..

Influencer Culture is BIG right now! And so many people are out here calling themselves Designers when really they are NOT.. Don’t get me wrong some people have a great eye and do a great job with aesthetics. But that’s only the beginning!! This industry takes an extreme amount of attention to detail and planning. And working with other people’s homes. Dealing with sub contractors and making sure the final product is what was actually specified for the client. Understanding what materials go where and how to use them for certain rooms or spaces. Oh and did we mention the fact that if you are a true Designer you are also a Drafter. It’s not all picking out pillows and floral arrangements for the home. It’s understanding the basic integrity of how things are built and how many inches and feet you need to be able to access something as simple as the toilet🚽 every day or knowing that if walls are being moved in a floorplan we need to know if it’s not only structural but if it has mechanicals inside that will need moved also. And that’s only naming a few of those BIG differences. Go get yourself a good Design Build Team that you vibe with and trust to make your vision come to life!!! That’s us!!!

Another amazing kitchen in the books this year! What a show stopper this one was. That red hood and peninsula accent. 🔥🔥🔥♥️♥️♥️ We had so much fun as always. This project was truly a favorite! Not many people want to go modern in our Pennsylvania Dutch area. So this was a great opportunity for us to showcase some of that modern flare.
