Joyeux FRANCEgiving! 🇫🇷 This year’s Friendsgiving theme was inspired by a trip to Paris and the Loire Valley earlier this year (and all the wine and butter we brought home.) It was the loveliest evening avec nos merveilleux amis!🥂

Savoring the last few weeks of summer and al fresco dining season here in Cleveland, but thanks to weatherproof furniture and accessories (including the rug), these lucky Florida homeowners have the pleasure of enjoying their outdoor dining space year-round.☀️

✨Finished in Fairview Park!✨ Thanks to an amazing team of contractors and wonderful clients (and friends!) this project was smooth sailing from beginning to end. 🤍 This was the first major renovation for these homeowners, so it was my goal to make it as easy and stress-free for them as possible, but this 100-plus-year-old cutie was not without her quirks and challenges. 👵🏻 The layout is not typical, but budget and other factors required us to keep it as-is. In addition to providing much-needed storage for the fam of four who uses this space daily, the tall corner cabinet also hid a functioning laundry chute, so some version of it needed to stay. And while we not only wanted to keep the arch above the tub/shower but highlight it as an original architectural feature, like a lot of older ladies, she was a little saggy on one side. 😉 So the original footprint remained, but literally every single element within her is brand new. And if I may say, she’s glowing! (Swipe through for a “before” shot. More in stories!)

“I’ve got an idea - let’s👏🏼do👏🏼a makeover!” -Cher Horowitz
Sometimes all you need is a little cosmetic enhancement to highlight something’s true beauty. Case in point: my client’s cute kitchen. As this is not her forever home and there was nothing innately “wrong” with the space to begin with, she wisely wasn’t looking to sink a ton of time or money into this project. Swapping dated laminate countertops for stunning quartz slabs, adding a fab tile backsplash, upgrading fixtures & furnishings and a few days of work was all it took to go from Laney Boggs at the beginning of “She’s All That” to Laney Boggs at the end of “She’s All That.” 🤓👸🏻 My client will undoubtedly see a 100% return on her investment whenever she does decide to sell, and in the meantime she gets to brew, bake and broil in this beaut. Win-win!

GUEST ROOM RE-DO! 💙 My bro-in-law and I teamed up again recently to surprise with this 48-hour makeover while she was visiting me in Ohio. It was not without its challenges (the 16-foot-long boards for the shiplap feature wall had to be brought up and in through the window when they wouldn’t make the turn in the hallway) but overall this long-distance design plan went off without a hitch. 👏🏼 Fun local artwork was the inspo for a fresh new color palette, a new layout makes the small space look and feel twice as big, and brand new (yet budget-friendly) furniture and accessories create a comfy, relaxing retreat for overnight guests. And by “guests” I mean me. I am guests. 🙋🏻‍♀️ (So really this was purely selfish.) Tim Sullivan Courtney Anne

✨PROJECT REVEAL✨ We added over 800 square feet of wraparound porch and additional year-round living space to this classic black & white Colonial in Florida. Built to withstand the occasional hurricane and furnished/styled entirely with budget-friendly, weather-resistant pieces, she’s as durable as she is beautiful. Prewired for misting fans to help beat the heat and capped off by a custom-stained tongue & groove wood ceiling, it completely changed the façade of this home (for the better!) The bright red front door is the cherry on top.🍒 (Swipe on through for photos of all areas and a shot of the exterior pre-porch.)

✨PROJECT REVEAL✨ The lakeside lounge is complete! Swipe for a few highlights and all the way through to see where we started - with an unused 17’W x 50’L x 16’H open-air RV garage. I custom-designed everything from the ground (actually about 4 feet above the ground) up, creating a recreation space complete with a full bath and theater, bar & game areas. Stay tuned in the coming weeks for more photos/details and check out my “Lakeside Lounge” highlight for a peek behind the scenes, lots of progress shots…and doggy photobombs! 🐶
