Being featured in Architectural Digest is a career high. Getting to share that moment with our clients Madison Keys + Bjorn, in a home we poured so much into, makes it even more meaningful.
When the couple came to us, we knew the original 1930s casita had to set the tone for the home. A previous owner had expanded the property, but much of that Spanish character didnât carry into the newer addition. We saw an opportunity to bring the two together.
We leaned into the history and architecture of the casita, introducing arches and other architectural details throughout the space. Many of these elements were never there before, but they brought in the character and cohesiveness the home was missing.
From there, we selected finish materials and lighting, designed custom cabinetry, sourced furnishings, and worked through the details that made the home feel like them. Their style is young, cool, and casual, so we never wanted it to feel overly traditional or like a replica of a Spanish Revival home.
The result is our take on Spanish style: warm, collected, comfortable, and personal to the people who live there.
Getting to see this home, and all of the thought and love that went into it, shared in Architectural Digest is incredibly special. This is one weâll be proud of for a long time. đ¤
