Meet Colton Ivy. Master Electrician, co-owner of Ivy Leach Electrical, and yes, the "Ivy" in our name.

If you have ever wondered who the other half of Ivy Leach is, you are looking at him. Colton and Tyler started this company together in 2024 on a simple idea: Colton’s master-level craftsmanship, Tyler’s drive to build something honest, one small Brazoria County shop, do the work right, and never cut corners.

Colton runs the field side of operations with the kind of craftsmanship that comes from someone who genuinely loves the trade. Code-tight installs. Clean wire management. A patience and attention to detail that sets the tone for the whole crew. He treats every customer like a neighbor and every teammate like family.

A company is the people inside it, and we are lucky every single day to have Colton inside ours.

One year ago today, Nick became part of Ivy Leach Electrical, and we could not let the day pass without saying something.

Nick was our very first employee. He took a chance on a brand new company back when we had more hope than proof, and he has had our back every single day since. Now our foreman, Nick sets the tone on every job. He shows up, he outworks everybody, his craftsmanship is the kind we are proud to put our name on, and he treats every customer and every crew member with genuine respect.

A company is only as strong as its people, and we hit the jackpot with our very first hire.

Happy one year, Nick. Thank you for believing in us before we had much to show for it. Here is to many more.

Today, we pause.

Memorial Day is not the start of summer or just another day off work. It is the day we set aside to honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

We are thinking of the families who carry an empty seat at the table, and we are grateful every single day for the freedom that was bought at such a cost.

To the fallen, we remember you. To the families who loved them, thank you. We honor them right alongside you.

Real before and after on a full panel replacement we just wrapped up. The original panel had been hanging on for over 40 years. Corroded bus bars, breakers that no longer tripped the way they should, layers of dust and cobwebs, and a tangle of add-ons from every decade in between.

If that is the box that protects your home, you are not really protected. Old breakers can fail to trip on an overload or a short, and that is how electrical fires start.

We removed the old panel, installed a new Square D main breaker panel, re-landed every circuit with proper grounding, and cleaned up the wire management so any electrician who opens this panel for the next 40 years can read it in seconds.

If your panel still has a brand on it nobody makes anymore, or it is more than 25 years old, get it looked at.
