🌧️ Rainy Days Are a Good Time to Pay Attention to Your Plumbing
It’s a wet, rainy day here in Acadiana, and while we’re all probably wishing we could stay home with a cup of coffee, days like today can actually tell you quite a bit about what’s happening around your home.
Heavy or steady rain can put additional stress on drainage systems and make existing plumbing problems much easier to notice. Slow drains, toilets that suddenly seem sluggish, gurgling sounds, unusual odors, water backing up, or standing water around your property can all be signs that something deserves a closer look.
The important thing is not to panic, it’s simply to pay attention.
Small changes in the way your plumbing behaves can sometimes give you an early warning before a minor issue becomes a much bigger inconvenience. If something suddenly looks, sounds, or smells different, make a note of it. And if it continues after the rain passes, it may be worth having it checked.
At Benjamin Franklin Plumbing, we believe homeowners should understand what’s happening in their homes, not feel pressured or left guessing. Whether you need us today or six months from now, we’re here when Acadiana needs a plumber.
Stay dry out there, Acadiana. ☔💙
