A room filled with pure joy.
Inspired by an old-fashioned flower-cutting room, we wanted it to feel happy, nostalgic, classic, and effortlessly homey.

A moment of detail for the beautiful soapstone that seamlessly flows into the waterfall sink. Just perfection from our guys at F & A Stone Surfaces

Every detail came together even better than we hoped—and this little room has quickly become one of our favorite spaces in the home.

Sometimes the smallest details make the biggest difference.

During a recent fireplace selection, our client mentioned to our Project Manager that he didn’t want a tall mantle because he didn’t want his TV mounted too high.

That may seem like a small comment—but it changed the direction of the selection.

Because our Project Manager knew that preference, he was able to communicate it to the designer. Together, they selected a fireplace with a shorter profile, allowing the mantle and TV to land at the height the client actually wanted.

This is exactly why we ask so many questions upfront.

Our clients don’t always know which details will affect something down the road—and they shouldn’t have to. That’s our job.

The more we understand about how you want your home to look, feel and function, the better we can guide you, communicate with our vendors and designers, and make decisions that keep the entire project moving in the right direction.

You may not always know why we’re asking. But there’s a reason.

Communication isn’t just part of our process—it’s how we bring your vision to life.

Should you paint your cabinets after installation or offsite at the shop before installation?

The truth? It depends.

Building beautiful homes is one thing. Building them beautifully, consistently, and intentionally is what matters.

At Provence Homes, we believe in over-communication, detailed documentation, and making sure everyone involved — from our trades and design team to the client — is working from the same information.

Changes and updates happen often and quickly throughout a custom build. When something changes, we make sure the client has approved it, the documentation is updated, and every trade who needs to know has the correct information.

That level of communication helps eliminate oversight, prevent errors, and avoid the headaches that can come from small details getting lost along the way.

We document details room by room — materials, finishes, trim requirements, and more — so there’s no guessing when it comes time to execute.

This home, for example, has 18 rooms, with different requirements throughout. Some areas call for paint-grade trim, others stain-grade doors, and some rooms have completely different trim details.

Every one of those details is clearly documented in our plans and onsite, so the right information is in the right hands at the right time.

It may feel like over-communication, but we believe it’s one of the things that allows us to consistently deliver the level of quality our clients expect.

Instantly feel the need for a cup of tea when we look back at these pictures. The most peaceful little space in the whole house. Natural light pouring in, on the cozy little banquette. Makes you want to come in a stay a while.

A little before and after of the grand entrance. Our carpenter Joe crushed every seamless detail of this entry way arch.

A pool is one of those decisions that may seem easier to “add later”… but that decision can sometimes create more challenges (and more cost) down the road.

For this project, we worked with the homeowners to move forward with the pool during construction instead of after. We paused framing, brought in the pool company while access to the backyard was still easy, and then we’ll continue the build as planned.

Every project is different, but having these conversations early can help homeowners avoid unexpected costs, delays, and headaches later on.
