Types of Damage & Actions
Severed Wires:
If the w**d whacker cut the low-voltage thermostat wire, you may see frayed wires leading to the unit. Action: Turn off power, call Jay's Heating and Cooling, LLC.
Bent Fin Coils:
The mower may have thrown rocks or bumped the metal housing, bending the delicate exterior aluminum fins. Action: If airflow is blocked, call Jay's Heating and Cooling, LLC ( your fins need addressed).
Refrigerant Line Leaks:
If you hear a hissing sound, notice white gas venting, or see oily residue on the copper tubing, the system's coolant has leaked out.
Action:
"Do not turn the AC back on. Leaving a starved system running can burn out the expensive compressor." Call Jay's Heating and Cooling, LLC.
