We turned a steep, wooded backyard into the best seat in the house — an elevated Trex composite deck wrapped in black aluminum railing, flowing into a gable-roofed screened porch with a vaulted tongue-and-groove wood ceiling and a ceiling fan for those humid East Tennessee evenings.
