Here’s an install we just wrapped up for a homeowner with an absolutely killer detached garage setup! The kind of place where projects get started, tools disappear into another dimension, and the doggos oversee day to day operations. To keep the space comfortable through Tennessee heat, humidity, and whatever other atmospheric crimes summer throws at us, we installed an 18k BTU Mitsubishi mini-split. Quiet, efficient, and ready to battle the elements year-round without breaking a sweat.

We tackled this one alongside Brandon Smith Electrical Services. Brandon is sharp, dependable, and does the kind of clean electrical work that restores your faith in humanity. If you need electrical work done, give the man a call.

If you’ve got a garage, workshop, bonus room, or mysterious corner of your house that’s never comfortable, give us a shout. We’ll get it sorted out. ❄️

Mother Nature must be rolling her dice every morning in Tennessee… “Should I give em’ winter, spring, or a little bit of both today?” 🤔
One day you’re cranking the heat, the next you’re kicking on the AC. (Sometimes both in the same day)
Good news is, no matter how confused the weather gets, Knox Air Dept. is never confused when it comes to keeping your system up to standards. Whether it’s heating, cooling, or a system that just can’t keep up with Tennessee’s mood swings, we’ve got you covered. 865-314-0099
Hope y’all are enjoying this beautiful day ☀️

Time for a tune-up! 👨🏻‍🔧
Check out these before & afters from recent maintenances👇

Fall temps are heading our way, and now is the perfect time to schedule your heating tune-up. Maintenance goes a long way.. better airflow, higher efficiency, and fewer emergencies when the temps drop. It can also help eliminate funky odors, quiet those weird noises, and keep your system running cleaner and smoother all season long.
Schedule a maintenance slot while they’re open! You can get on our an annual program (or if long-term commitments aren’t your thing, we can do a one-time maintenance and inspection 😉)

A true HVAC makeover! Not only did this homeowner decide to replace their old worn-out equipment for a more efficient system, they also opted for some much needed upgrades to help support their system’s performance and indoor air quality.

1) On this change out we added another return as the current return ductwork was severely undersized. This is very common in older homes. Undersized ductwork can absolutely affect the lifespan of your equipment and its effective capacity.

2) We also added a Reme Halo LED air purification system. This air purification system reduces airborne pollutants, allergens, bacteria, viruses, and mold throught the entire home. Unlike passive filters, it sends advanced ionized hydrogen peroxide into air ducts, treating every room in the home. This set up is wired to run only while our indoor fan is circulating and runtimes can be completely controlled by an upgraded thermostat.

3) We also installed a new Ecobee Smart thermostat so this homeowner has complete control over their new system and accessories. It comes with room sensors so we can average out temperatures across the home, helping reduce hot and cold spots.

If you’re hanging on for dear life to an old, decrepit HVAC system crossing your fingers it will get you through the next heatwave, go ahead and give Knox Air Dept. a call and we can explore what would best serve your home.

Affordable, reliable, your go-to HVAC pros.
