Happy to report that our tomato plants are still going strong! These have been productive since May! I harvested just the front yard plants this eve and now have about 60 pounds of heirlooms to preserve and eat! We actually freeze instead of canning. How do you tomato save?

Seeds are truly amazing. I save as many seeds as I can. This beautiful purple calabash heirloom tomato came from a seed that was at least 14 years old. It was one of the first varieties I planted at my first house in my garden and came from one of the first tomatoes that came off the original plant.
