Some fun facts from today's work: Uric acid stones form when urine is too acidic and concentrated with uric acid—a byproduct of broken-down purines—causing it to crystallize, while most kidney stones are actually made of calcium oxalate, both of which are the makeup of most of the wonderful craft beers we all drink and enjoy.

The exact same buildup occurs in urinal traps from the same elements that make up kidney stones in our bodies.

This Old House Disaster Episode 67. Old galvanized lines tied into toilet supply lines connecting the cold and hot to the heater barely a year old.

The old plumber installed it on too small of a breaker and wire, as well as leaky connections, just a super soaked fire hazard disaster in the making.

Replaced with a new heater, with a new 30 amp double pole breaker, a quick disconnect, and new 10 gauge romex.

This after removing the pipe that was draining the kitchen sink into a 3 inch pipe sticking through a busted hole in the slab into a cut out portion of cast iron sewer pipe.
