This seawall was starting to lose the fight. Leaning toward the lake, coming apart at the edges, on its way into the water if nothing changed. Rip rap turns that around. Stone packed against the base absorbs what the lake throws at it, so the seawall behind it stays put and holds for years. Caught in time.

Every rip rap job runs the same play. Rock loaded onto the barge at the dock, hauled out to the site, then set along the bank with the excavator. Once it is down, that stone takes the beating from waves and current so the shoreline behind it holds.
