🌎💧 TOMORROW is the Regional Waterway Clean Up! 💧🌎

Join communities across Central Texas as we come together to help keep our waterways clean and beautiful! Volunteers will travel from community to community making an impact across nearly 34,000 square miles of waterways — all in ONE day!

Small Waterways. Big Impact. Start Here

What is a watershed?
A watershed is an area of land where all water drains to a common point, like a creek, river, or lake. What happens in our local waterways doesn’t stay here… it flows downstream.

Join us and be part of the solution! Help protect our rivers, lakes, and community by volunteering at one of the locations on May 16th from 8am to 10:30am. Together, we can make a difference, starting right here at home. There’s no need to register. Simply select your location, show up at the start time, and help.

🌎 Este sábado 16 de mayo se llevará a cabo un importante evento regional de limpieza de arroyos y waterways en varias comunidades del centro de Texas. Invitamos a todas las personas que puedan asistir a participar y apoyar este gran esfuerzo ambiental. ♻️

Lamentablemente, debido al trabajo y a nuestras responsabilidades económicas actuales, Tavera Green Force no podrá asistir a este evento. Sin embargo, apoyamos totalmente este tipo de iniciativas que ayudan a proteger nuestros arroyos, parques y comunidades.

Cada acción cuenta. Cada voluntario hace la diferencia. 💚

🌎 Tavera Green Force continues to grow.

After months of community work and environmental cleanup activities, we are beginning important new steps to strengthen this project and create an even greater impact in our community.

Thank you to everyone who has supported and believed in this mission from the very beginning. 💚

🌎 Today we completed our 5th cleanup activity in one of the creeks that runs through Andy K. Wells Hike and Bike Trail.

This cleanup was very different from our usual activities, since we collected very little regular trash bags.
♻️ About 99% of what we removed was metal, while the rest was plastic, including shopping carts, metal debris, and other waste abandoned in and around the creek.

⚖️ Pounds collected: 293.86 lbs
📊 2026 Total: 825.55 lbs

Creeks and waterways are an essential part of our ecosystems, and when they become dumping areas, the environmental impact can be significant.

Every item removed means less pollution in the water, less danger for wildlife, and one more step toward a cleaner and healthier community. 💚

Even when we are only a few volunteers, we continue proving that small actions can create a real impact. 🌱

🌎 Hoy realizamos nuestra 5ta actividad de limpieza en uno de los arroyos que cruzan el parque Andy K. Wells Hike and Bike Trail.

Esta jornada fue muy diferente a otras actividades, ya que prácticamente no recolectamos bolsas de basura tradicionales.
♻️ El 99% de lo retirado fue metal y el resto plástico, incluyendo carritos de supermercado, piezas metálicas y otros residuos abandonados dentro y alrededor del arroyo.

🧤 Voluntarios: 2
⚖️ Libras recolectadas: 293.86 lbs
📊 Acumulado 2026: 825.55 lbs

Los arroyos y cuerpos de agua son parte fundamental de nuestros ecosistemas, y cuando se convierten en puntos de acumulación de basura, el impacto ambiental puede ser enorme.

Cada objeto retirado representa menos contaminación para el agua, menos riesgo para la vida silvestre y un paso más hacia una comunidad más limpia y consciente. 💚

Aunque a veces somos pocos voluntarios, seguimos demostrando que las pequeñas acciones sí generan un impacto real. 🌱
