Currently on a work hiatus after surgery, but wanted to share this fun commission from the Austin Army HQ at the end of March.
The HQ coat of arms recreated in marquetry using Maple, ebonized oak, and bleached Ash.
Measuring just under 20" tall, the pair will be given as commemorative gifts to officers as they rotate out of the Austin HQ and on to other assignments; taking a new piece of décor to hang at their next post.
These were a joy to make and the finished product may be one of my favorite unique creations to date.

Happy to report that we managed to raise $560 for the AWS Freeman-Fritts Animal Shelter & Clinic all thanks to the generous support of our community!
While orders are closed for the year, we will absolutely be doing this again next year.

Newest creation: the "Drunken" cutting board.
Walnut and Maple; 1.5" thick, juice groove, rubber feet, rounded edges, slotted hand grooves on the underside at each end for easy pickup.
