This Lake Tapps deck project started with a homeowner who wanted to make sure the next phase of work on their home was done right.

After working with another contractor on previous portions of the house, they weren’t completely satisfied with the experience or quality of the work. This Deck Was About to Collapse — Here's Our Fix

This deck has seen better days. With a steep slope, failing structure, and a big drop-off, it's time for a proper rehab. In this video, we walk through our full plan: removing and labeling the existing railing, tearing off the deck's rim, installing new joists that extend past the lower deck to create a safe working platform, and prepping for a beam swap — all while using fall harnesses tied back to the house for safety on this tricky terrain.
