Did I jinx it by saying they were okay?

They definitely look like sh*t but I’m still getting blooms that are opening up. Do you think they will continue to grow, or should I start digging? Last year it was easy to decide because they were DEAD dead after the frost.

Who got frost last night? Are your dahlias still alive?

I seriously contemplated doing all the things - frost cloth, overhead watering, even bringing grow bags inside to stretch another couple weeks out of the season. But at the end of the day, I came home and decided to let nature take its course.

The projected low was 34 last night, and when I woke up, the Weather Channel said it was 33.

I wasn’t very hopeful.

These were at 8 am and, I don’t want to jinx it but, they look okay so far…

What do you think? Am I in the clear?

With a possible frost on the way tonight, these could be the last three bouquets of the year.

It’s WINDY today so try to come by early rather than late if you can. DM to reserve one before 9:30 and I can keep it inside for you for pickup after 5:00.
