A solid morning’s work deserves a proper refuel! My little helper requested sushi, so sushi it is. 🍣

He’s learning a thing or two on the job with Dad… and apparently developing good taste in lunch too. Proud of this kid. ❤️

This old deck had reached the end of its life. With rotten wood and an unsafe structure, it’s time to tear it down and start fresh.

Grant Construction Group is redesigning and rebuilding this space with a solid structure made to last. And this project is extra special to me. We have our son, the future of Grant Construction Group, out here learning alongside us. It’s pretty cool getting to show him what goes into doing a job right.

Stay tuned for the finished deck!

🔥 When disaster strikes, you need someone who understands what comes next.

Unfortunately, this homeowner experienced a structure fire that left her home needing immediate attention. In order to properly extinguish and ventilate the fire, the firefighters had to cut into the roof, a necessary part of doing their job and making sure the fire was completely under control.

That’s where Grant Construction Group came in.

Having previously served as a firefighter myself, I understand firsthand what goes into fighting a structure fire and the damage that can be left behind even after the flames are out. We stepped in to help get this home secured, sealed back up, and protected from the elements.

Our job isn’t just about construction, it’s about helping homeowners get their lives and homes back in order after unexpected events like this.

We’re proud to be Your Partner In Every Project.

🚨 SHOWER REMODEL RESCUE! 🚨

Sometimes, you don’t know what’s behind the walls until you start taking things apart.

A homeowner called Grant Construction Group after paying another contractor to remodel their shower
and unfortunately, the job had gone seriously wrong.

What we found was a shower bench that was actually directing water out onto the bathroom floor, an improperly installed drain assembly that hadn’t even been glued, and waterproofing that was not installed correctly.

That’s not just a cosmetic issue — those mistakes can lead to leaks, water damage, mold, and a whole lot more money down the road.

So we stepped in to tear out the failed work, correct the underlying problems, and rebuild the shower the right way. 💪

At Grant Construction Group, we believe a shower should do one thing really well: keep the water where it belongs. 😂🚿

If you’re considering a remodel, don’t just look at how it looks on day one. Proper installation, waterproofing, drainage, and attention to detail matter.

⚡️ Can you spot the bad circuit breaker? 👀

Looks like a little moisture made its way in and finally finished the job. 🔌💦

That’s where Grant Construction Group comes in. We were there to keep the electricity flowing, the lights on, and the fans blowing. 💡💨

🚪💥 When the lawn mower sends a rock where it definitely wasn’t supposed to go… 😂

A little landscaping mishap left this back door’s window shattered, so Grant Construction Group came in to make it right!

We removed the damaged door and installed a brand-new double door, giving the back entrance a fresh look and getting this home back in business. 💪🔨

Because sometimes home projects start with a carefully planned renovation… and sometimes they start with a flying rock. 😅

Either way, GCG is here to help — Your Partner In Every Project.

🔨 We don’t just install floors, we fix flooring that was installed incorrectly.

At Grant Construction Group, we install tile and LVP and hardwood floors the right way from the ground up. But sometimes, we’re called in after another installation has already failed.

That’s exactly what happened on this project.

The tile underlayment (HardieBacker) had been installed with nails instead of the appropriate screws/fasteners, compromising the installation.

Then we found another issue with the LVP. The flooring was peeling back because the substrate wasn’t properly leveled, and the subfloor had been nailed down instead of properly screwed to the framing, allowing movement that ultimately affected the finished flooring.

The lesson? 👇

A beautiful floor is only as good as what’s underneath it.

Proper fastening, a properly prepared and level substrate, and following the manufacturer’s installation requirements are critical. Cutting corners on the prep work may not show immediately — but eventually, those shortcuts can come back as loose tile, separating seams, movement, squeaks, or flooring that starts to fail.

At Grant Construction Group, we take the time to diagnose the why, not just cover up the problem.

Whether you need:
✅ Tile installation
✅ LVP installation
✅ Hardwood installation
✅ Subfloor repairs
✅ Floor leveling/preparation
✅ Or an existing flooring installation corrected

We’re here to do it right, from the subfloor to the finished floor.

Hey y’all! 👋

This may seem like a tiny detail, but tiny details can turn into HUGE problems when they’re done incorrectly.

In the first 3 pictures, you can see how Grant Construction Group properly installed the drip edge so water flows into the gutter where it belongs.

The next 3 pictures show an incorrect installation, including one photo taken during a rainstorm that shows exactly what happens when the drip edge isn’t installed properly. Water can get behind the gutter, leading to water intrusion, staining along the side of your home, damaged fascia, and eventually rot.

These are the kinds of details that may not seem important until they become an expensive repair.

💧 Fix it now rather than fixing a much bigger problem later.

Give us a call or text and we’ll be happy to take a look and make sure your drip edge is properly installed and ready for the next rain.
