🚨 COST OF WATER INCREASES OCT 1, 2026 - DFW, TX
💰 Did you know? Starting October 1, these cities will see an increase in the cost of their water bill.
💧 The reason: the wholesale cost of water and wastewater treatment is rising across our region. Cities are passing along higher supplier rates, plus the cost of maintaining and expanding our systems.
⬆️Southlake: water 15%, sewer 5%
⬆️ Colleyville: water 12%, plus $2.59/month on the sewer base charge
⬆️ Arlington: 6.3% (average water and sewer bill combined)
⬆️ Keller: water 4.75%, sewer 3.5%
Since sewer is billed on your water bill, both increases will show up on the same statement.
🦜 QUICK TIP: If your bill jumps by more than your city's increase, a running toilet or hidden leak may be the cause. Small leaks cost more when rates go up.
