Here’s your electrical safety tip for the week:

🔥 NEVER plug a space heater into a power strip or extension cord!

Space heaters draw a significant amount of electricity and can cause power strips or extension cords to overheat, creating a serious fire hazard.

✅ Plug space heaters directly into a wall outlet.

✅ Keep them at least 3 feet away from anything flammable.

✅ Turn them off when leaving the room or going to bed.

A little prevention goes a long way toward keeping your home and family safe! 🤍

⚡️ “Do I really need to call an electrician for this?”

Sometimes the answer is YES. Here are 5 signs it’s time to put down the DIY tools and give a licensed electrician a call:

🔥 1. An outlet or switch is hot, discolored, or smells burnt.
Heat or a burning smell can indicate a loose connection or other electrical problem that shouldn’t be ignored.

⚡️ 2. Your breaker keeps tripping.
Resetting it over and over isn’t fixing the problem. A frequently tripping breaker could be telling you something is wrong with the circuit.

💡 3. Your lights are constantly flickering or dimming.
