Happy 4th of July. Here are a few summer tips for caring for your lawn.

Use a slow-release fertilizer in early summer if your grass needs a boost.
• Don’t over-fertilize in extreme heat—it can burn the lawn.

Water after you fertilize to avoid burning the grass.

Water less often once to twice a week for 30 to 45 minutes. More waterings is not always best let your grass strain a bit to make it
stronger overall.

Happy Memorial Day. It is a great time to honor those that have given their lives for our country.

As summer approaches a few tips to keep in mind for your lawn.
1. Don't mow too low. Keep the grass longer during the summer months. Taller grass shades the soil and reduces evaporation.
2. Don't water daily two to three times a week is perfect 30-45 minutes a time so it can absorb into the roots. That is what helps the grass the most.
3. If you have had problems with bugs or w**ds in the past put down some w**d control or bug killer now.
4. Take the bag off the mower and let the clippings go into the grass. It is good for the grass.
